Is Vanessa Hudgens feeling a bit nostalgic? After flipping her stylish Los Feliz home for a big profit to podcaster Jon Lovett and his partner Ronan Farrow, the “High School Musical” star can afford to live in almost any neighborhood, but she’s returned to the Studio City hills, where the very first house she ever bought is located. Hudgens owned that property from 2008-2019, and has now acquired a new mansion that’s so close to her old home, it’s practically next door — and it even shares a property line with her former haunt.

Of course, the entrepreneurial Hudgens is now a lot richer than she was back in 2008, so her new Studio City digs are far more lavish than the old ones. The new place ran her almost $7.5 million, and includes five bedrooms and five bathrooms in more than 7,000 square feet of living space. There are also balconies, vast patios, an infinity pool and unobstructed views that sweep over a huge swath of the San Fernando Valley.

Originally built in 1963, the house was completely rebuilt earlier this year. The newly trendy modern farmhouse-style structure boasts charcoal paint outside and a sea of milky white inside, making an ideal canvas for Hudgens’ next residential project. (The California native, 33, stylishly renovated her previous homes and her striking Los Feliz estate was famously photographed for Architectural Digest just last year.)

Sited on a tiny and secluded cul-de-sac, the entire property is protected by towering fences, gates, and a state-of-the-art security system. Beyond those fortifications lies a flat motorcourt with space for six or more cars; inside the house itself, multiple skylights and foldaway glass doors flood all the rooms with natural light.

On the main level, an open floorplan blends the public rooms together, while a central staircase with Vegas-style LED track lighting will awe guests. Both the living and family rooms spill out to patios and grassy terraces, and outside there’s a barbecue area and ample space for al fresco entertaining.

Upstairs, a loft-like second family room wraps tightly around a central hallway connecting the various family bedrooms. The primary suite is huge, naturally, and boasts walls of glass, a sitting area, a custom dressing room with bespoke cabinetry, and a spa-style bathroom with dual sinks, glass shower and a freestanding soaking tub.

While photos of the backyard are slim, aerial views reveal the extra-big swimming pool includes a Baja shelf for sunbathing and an inset spa, and is surrounded by extensive decking for lounging and entertaining. There are also grassy lawns and privacy hedges, plus a seating area with a fire-pit overlooking those panoramic views.
